But BSNL is yet to provide 1 Gbps broadband plans to the customers, so in this regard, MTNL has the upper hand. But we may see BSNL launching similar 1 Gbps broadband plans in the coming months. As for the MTNL 1 Gbps broadband plans, they’re priced at Rs 2,900 and Rs 4,990. The monthly FUP limit on these broadband plans is 3TB (3000GB) and 6TB (6000GB), respectively. However, for new customers and for the first six months, MTNL will be shipping 4TB (4000GB) and 8TB (8000GB) monthly data respectively. MTNL is marketing these plans as unlimited data plans, but they do have a massive FUP limit, according to the information available. Reliance JioFiber is also providing two 1 Gbps plans to the customers and the premium one is priced at Rs 8,499 and it offers just 5TB of FUP limit. MTNL, on the other hand, is charging half the amount at Rs 4,990 and providing nearly double the FUP limit at 8TB. Even Airtel Xstream is now providing a 1 Gbps plan priced at Rs 3,999, but again, it has a FUP limit of 3.3TB, so MTNL has a clear upper hand in Delhi right now. Other benefits of the two 1 Gbps FTTH plans from MTNL include free voice calling meaning a customer can make unlimited voice calls to any network within India. MTNL is also allowing to choose 1 Gbps plans quarterly or for one year. For a quarterly subscription of Rs 2,990 plan, the charges would be Rs 7,970, for one-year, it would be Rs 29,990.
